What should I expect during my first massage visit?

A brief consultation to further discuss your intake form, your problem areas and comfortability.

What areas will you be covering?

Monday: Clarksville, Columbia, Ellicott City, Glenelg area

Tuesday: Rockville, Bethesda, Chevy Chase area

Wednesday: Laurel, Burtonsville, Fulton, Beltsville area

Thursday: Potomac area

Are you certified to provide these services?

Yes. I am Certified Lymphedema Therapist. I have also taken courses in kinesiotaping and specialized manual lymphatic drainage.

Do you offer in shop services?

Not at this time. We are currently a luxury mobile service offering in-home treatments.

How soon can I receive MLD after surgery or injury?

This will depend on a doctor's clearance. Most post-op/ post-injury clients can receive massage services after the first 72- hours.

How will I feel after a session?

There is a possibility that you will have to urinate frequently as your body will be expelling excess fluid and waste.

How often should I receive Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

Once a month. However, for chronic issues, injury, post-op or pregnancy, frequency may vary.

Are there contraindications to MLD?

Yes! High risk for DVT/PE or acute episode, acute congestive heart failure/ cardiac insufficiency, kidney failure/ acute kidney injury, active cancer, acute infection and severe and ongoing hypertension

Can the provider cancel a service?

Yes. If upon the therapist's arrival, the client is presenting with signs and symptoms that seem contraindicative to MLD, the therapist can use clinical judgment to cancel the appointment. Money will be refunded, or a credit will be given that will go towards a future appointment.

Why do you only cover certain areas on a specific day?

Being a mobile service with currently only one provider, it is imperative to maintain a level of punctuality to every service. Completing services within a 5-10 miles radius will help to achieve this.

Do you accept tips?

Yes, tips are always appreciated but not expected. Your support of my business is invaluable, but gratuity is based on your level of comfort.
